The History of Mankind by Hendrik Willem Van Loon

The History of Mankind is a book that tells the history of man from “the beginning” until the 2000s. Unfortunately this book is written from an unCreationist worldview. The book goes over different time periods and people that were important to history. It is very interesting to see who the author views as “important” in history. Some people earn themselves 10 or more pages in the book while other receive just a mention.I do appreciate his chapter on Jesus Christ even though some of his viewpoints on him were inaccurate. This is a great read if you are looking for a synopsis of what has happened in the history of mankind. The book is a little out-of-date, but you would imagine one to be that was written in 1921. This book was a VERY long read, but it was a very good book. I would recommend it to anyone to read with the preface that is is not written from a Biblical worldview.
